How long does carpal tunnel release surgery take?

Myth: Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery it is a longer surgery that requires patients to go under general anesthesia. This is incorrect! We perform carpal tunnel release surgery with local anesthesia, meaning the patient is awake, and usually takes anywhere from 10-20 minutes.
